摘要：
The paper present the development of legal provisions concerning animal protection and welfare, with special references to regulations in force during shipments. Furthermore, the harmonized legal provisions, to be implemented in the national legislation in the persepective of European integration are mentioned. The authors discuss the importance and the consequences of the changes caused by modified legislative documents in nature preservation and conservation of the species.
