A single integrated circuit approach to real capacity estimation and life management of VRLA batteries

摘要
Historically, instrumentation has not been available to determine the true condition of VRLA batteries in-situ. Recent developments in Impedance Spectrum Analysis (Frequency Response Analysis) however, mean that true condition analysis is now possible. With this notable step forward, a single Integrated Circuit solution for continuous true condition assessment is now feasible, and enables the life management of the cell, which can reliably extend the in-service life by a significant margin.
