Simultaneous effect of loading rate and confining pressure on the deviator evolution in rock salt

摘要：
The DRBI tests give a solid database for the validation of a rheological law. The influence of the loading rate is coherent with the viscosity concept. The smaller is the loading rate, the slower is the deviator increase, thus leading to a predominant relaxation. This in turn explains the fact that smaller deviators are always observed in the case of small loadings.
