摘要
In this paper we will present a new technique that is currently under development for monitoring concrete early-age properties and strength gain. This new monitoring technique consists of embedding piezoelectric elements into concrete during construction to monitor certain key parameters affecting the early-age behavior of concrete structures. To test the feasibility of the present technique in monitoring early-age concrete strength, experimental tests were performed and preliminary results are presented in this paper.
