The need of the structural engineer and geotechnical engineer to work extremely closely with the goal of having a foundation building design that meets the governing building codes is discussed. Tall building projects require coordination, cooperation, and communication between the various design team members to have successful completion and result. The information exchange from one another may be very helpful to formulate the proper and most economical building design, and to manage and mitigate the great risks associated with the design and construction industry. Cooperation and communication between the geotechnical and structural engineers are mutually beneficial as these things work together to reduce the risks that each faces.
