Electron thermalization distances in liquids and dense gases: Data for a new theory of multibody interactions

摘要
The interaction of low energy electrons (aJ [eV] to zJ [meV])* with dense media are poorly understood, because an electron interacts with several molecules at once. An empirical model for these collective interactions could be constructed from the electron thermalization distances that have been estimated from the radiolysis free ion yields measured in many liquids. The thermalization distances depend strongly on molecular structure (polarity and degree of sphericity) and on fluid density. Copyright (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd
