Non-standard components of the character variety for a family of Montesinos knots

摘要：
We show that for any integers n > 3 and 1 <= d <= n-3, there exist Montesinos knots with n tangles whose SL2(C)-character varieties have arbitrarily many irreducible components of dimension d. Moreover, these irreducible components can be chosen so that the trace of the meridian is non-constant.
