Entrepreneur'S traits, entrepreneurial orientation and resource acquisition of nascent ventures

While theory suggests that acquiring resource needed is crucial for venture growth, resource-based view(RBV) has focused on the characteristics of resources, the relationship between networks and resource acquisition, and the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and performance, paying less attention to the relationship between entrepreneur's traits and resource acquisition as well as entrepreneurial orientation and resource acquisition. We argue that EO is important moderator for the relationship between entrepreneur's traits and resource acquisition. Our findings suggest that entrepreneur's traits are positively related to resource acquisition and that EO enhances this relationship.
