摘要
The cracking of vegetable oil using a molecular sieve-4a catalyst has been carried out under some operating conditions. The operating temperature used is 350-400 degrees C and the gas flow rate of nitrogen is 100-150 mL/min. Molecular sieve-4A without and with protonation using NH4Cl compared its activity in the process of cracking vegetable oil. The reaction is carried out in the packed bed reactor. Products produced from the process of cracking vegetable oil that has been done is paraffin wax, oil liquid product, coke, and gas. Molecular sieve-4A catalyst provides a satisfactory performance by generating 54.1% oil liquid product. As the operating temperature increases, oil liquid product yields increase as well. While the higher nitrogen gas flow rate can decrease the yield of oil liquid product. The protonation of molecular sieve-4A by NH4Cl solution increases the yield of oil liquid product.
