摘要
Today's world highly depends on data and context driven services. The key to these services is the speed and accuracy of the result produced. That is the future. Using the strength of connectivity and processing of fog, and the control and analytics of IoT, we can improve the services by the use of the local components and thus make it user-centric. The growth in processing latency and context driven services will enable a great deal of smart city services. Data management can get easier as it will reduce the network load and thus the overall time required for the service. Also, the parts of the city where there is a problem with connectivity or a lot of mobility, will get better responses of the services because of the applied strategy. As a solution we first look at the IoT and the cloud structure. Then we realize the need of integration of fog and its architecture. A framework of fog is presented. A use case is studied which will bring to light the communication between two fog nodes. The paper points out the flaws in bringing the cloud-IoT design towards the network edge that highlight the inconvenience of transmission of the control and management of IoT system to the user-end. This will help us progress and bring in the personalized IoT structures. Important issues faced by IoT today and the way in which fog helps us overcome them are discussed. The paper concludes with a clear direction for bringing personalized IoT structure into existence and also highlights the perks of doing so.
