Dynamic born charges and the problem of phase transitions in ferroelectrics-semiconductors

摘要：
The values of the spontaneous polarization P-s and the contributions of the P-s of the different ions in BaTiO3 and KNbO3 crystals have been calculated. The comparison of different models shows that the correct description of phase transitions in these crystals must take into account the charge transfer effects or gradients of the effective electric fields.
