摘要
In a one-atom micromaser, the influence of virtual-photon processes is studied. Two new phenomena, the virtual-photon tunnel effect and the virtual-photon quantum noise, are obtained, both of which have an adverse effect on the preparation of a pure photon-number state inside a cavity.
