摘要
During the Muslim occupation of the part of the Iberian Peninsula known as al-Andalus (716-1232 AD), a series of chemotherapeutic remedies was used to treat infectious diseases, such as bacterial diseases, fever, consumption, smallpox, measles and parasitic diseases. The majority of these remedies come from the translation of texts by Dioscorides, as well as from other books on medicinal powders by Andalusi doctors, such as Arab ibn Said, Abulcasis and Averroes. This work is a brief summary of these chemotherapeutic agents used in the medicine of al-Andalus.
