RF outsourcing and India

In the last decade, India has become an attractive destination for the outsourcing of services, primarily in pure software area. Work related to production development or even product development services is limited. One such case is RF engineering. At present, most of the RF-related outsourcing work in India is related to pure software work in mobile communications and the new emerging WiFi applications. With the expected expansion of mobile services, there will be a need for RF engineers. As far as outsourcing core RF technology services is concerned, more serious competition is likely to come from the countries of central and eastern Europe who are themselves pioneers of RF technology.
