摘要
It has been developed a computer support tool that lets the engineering students to calculate casting feeding systems. This tool allows to the students to check and compare quickly the results under various manufacturing scenarios. This will reduce a significant amount of studying time, which improves the learning. Computer programs available for calculating casting supply systems are not useful in an academic environment because they are not designed for teaching and they are characterized by their high economical cost and high complexity. The Fundisa 1.0 application has been developed using Visual Basic. The application includes all variations of feeding systems, divided into different sections. In addition to facilitating the teaching-learning process the application has a complete help in order to make this program a useful, versatile and easy to use by students. Nowadays the students value highly the use of tools that give them autonomy in their educational process, adapting to particular learning pace of each student, provides innovative, enhances motivation in order to increase knowledge.
