Heterocyclic compounds derivatives of 1,2,4-triazole

The synthesis and characterization of some new heterocyclic compounds is described. 1-Chloromethylen-3-[4-aininopheylen]-4-aryl-5-mercapto-1,2,4-triazoles contains two reactive groups: -NH2 and -CH2Cl. The amino group reacted with ethyl chloroformate and ester derivatives were prepare (compound III1,2,3) The chloromethylen group reacted with 1,2,4-triazole-1-yl, and the bi- heterocyclic systems an their derivatives have been prepared (compounds III1,2,3-VIII1,2,3). The ester group was transformed with hydrazine hydrate into some derivatives (IV1,2,3), and by treatment with isothiocyanates, the thiosemicarbazide group was formed (V). The 1,2,4-triazole and 1,3,4-thiadiazole respectively, by the ring-closure reactions thiosemicarbazide group were obtained (VI-VII) and their derivatives have been prepared. These types of molecules are important for both chemical and pharmacological purposes. The structures of the new compounds were elucidated by chemical and spectral analyses.
