This paper assesses one promising approach to establishing interdisciplinary work in architectural education in the form of an interdisciplinary LEED Lab course, led by a partnership between the North Carolina State University (NCSU) School of Architecture and the NCSU University Facilities Division. The overarching goal of this course is to establish a method for interdisciplinary teamwork structures within the architectural curriculum, but outside of the studio setting. Example exercises for increasing meaningful partnerships between students of different disciplines are shared, with a review of how this type of course can address accreditation requirements. Future possibilities for research are presented.
