Surface erosion of W-Cu composite in pulsed irradiation by intense hydrogen plasma

摘要
The erosion coefficients of W-Cu composites, tungsten, and copper are determined experimentally for conditions simulating plasma collapse, with a mean hydrogen-particle energy of around 2 keV. The microrelief variation of the composite surface under the action of single and repeated plasma pulses of length 15-20 mu sec is investigated, with a heat-flux density of (5-7) . 10(6) W/cm(2).
