Absolute configuration of D2-symmetric fullerene C84

摘要：
The D2-symmetric isomer of fullerene C84 predominantly found in soots is inherently chiral. We determine its absolute configuration by comparison of the experimental electronic circular dichroism (CD) spectrum with time-dependent density functional calculations.
