摘要：
Aims: To develop and implement an automated image measurement system for immunohistochemically stained slides. Theoretical considerations: The system requires sophisticated segmentation algorithms, knowledge of artifacts; standardized measurements; active protocols, automated error detection. Methods: The implemented system is divided into a common server platform and a specific image quantification system. It includes stereological algorithms, object quantification, syntactic structure analysis, and quality assurance. Results: The system measures DAB, AP, and fluorescence images (FITC, etc.). It possesses a reproducibility and stability > 98%. Conclusions: Its home page is {http://www.pathology-online.org}.
