摘要
This work was focused on different ways of application of oil containing and oil free lubricants for lubrication of the hot strip rolling process. Laboratory and pilot test examination have been performed to screen different available products on the market. Main targets were an increased lubricity also with irritating cooling water films by application on work roll, roll bite and strip surface. It was observed that the application of oilfree lubricants on the strip surface generated good lubrication, detected by roll force and torque reduction, and highest cooling effect for hot strip surface. Smother surfaces can be generated compared to conventional lubricated process. Residue formation on strip surface was not detected.
