Quality management model in the supply chain

Despite the fact that logistics has a number of instruments allowing to achieve multiple benefits in the process of supply chain management, still valid and necessary is to search for new ideas about how to solve problems in the use of procurement, transportation, inventory control, customer service and improvement of logistics processes. According to the authors the modern concepts of quality management may be helpful in this regard. The purpose of this paper is to highlight the role of quality in supply chain management, identify areas where quality and logistics support each other in pursuit of common goals and to develop a general model of quality management in the supply chain. Model presented in the article is general in nature and leaves a lot of flexibility in choosing the optimal management concepts specific to a particular supply chain.
