An Interference-Aware Uplink Power Control in LTE Heterogeneous Networks

摘要
In order to meet the needs of public's communication, a large number of low-power nodes will be added to mobile network and the heterogeneous Network (lietNet) will be formed. The more complicated wireless environment problems will come from HetNet, though the HetNet can effectively solve the coverage and capacity problems that exist in the current mobile communication network. Prior to the large-scale deployment of HetNet, it is urgent to solve the serious interference problem in HetNet. Power control is essential for solving the interference problem. It can not only solve the influence of limited spectrum resources and battery capacity of mobile devices in wireless networks, but also reduce interference and improve network capacity. In this paper, the concepts of power control and HetNet are introduced and the influence of power control parameter P-0 on system performance is analysed. An interference-aware power control algorithm is proposed for Long Term Evolution (LTE) HetNet. The proposed algorithm sets the optimal P-0 for small cell based on the interference power of neighbouring macro cell, and maximizes throughput of the small cell on the premise of macro cell throughput. The simulation results show that the algorithm can maximize the throughput of small cells under the premise of macro cell throughput.
