Unified description of pion production processes on few-nucleon systems

A general approach for a consistent and unified description of pion production processes in few-nucleon systems is presented. It is based on one common Hamiltonian which essentially considers meson-baryon-baryon vertices as hadronic interactions. The latter generate dynamically riot only the relevant pion production amplitude, but furthermore in a consistent manner also the mutual interaction between the involved baryons. The model is applied to the two-nucleon sector, where the relevance of usually neglected two-body pion production operators is illustrated. in the three-nucleon sector, the investigations are performed with the help of the Lorentz integral transform method.
