A Development of UHF RFID Device for Mobile IoT Service

摘要
This study is implementation of compact type UHF RFID reader to apply various IoT applications on mobile device. The UHF RFID technology is mainly used in B2B service for the cheaper tag price and longer tagging distance than NFC technology which uses HF band. Nevertheless, UHF RFID technology has been used only in limited applications because of dedicated reader device which provide high power needs. For this reason, UHF RFID technologies are not deployed in smart phone device, and could not extended in B2C service area. To solve these problems, we developed UHF RFID reader on microSD which can be inserted into external memory on smartphone. Using the developed UHF RFID reader user can conveniently use the RFID application service on android smart phone.
