HYPERSURFACES OF MINKOWSKI SPACE WITH CONSTANT MEAN CURVATURE

Let M-n be a compact hypersurface of Minkowski space (Vn+1, (F) over bar) with parallel unit normal vector and constant mean curvature H. In this paper, we prove that if the norm square S of the second fundamental form of M satisfies S <= n(2)H(2)/n-1, then M is either an Euclidean sphere (H not equal 0) or a locally Minkowski space (H = 0).
