摘要
Climate change is negatively affecting rural households due to their dependence on farming. This study analyzed farmers' perception of vulnerability to climate change and their strategies for adapting to such observed seasonal changes in Abia State Nigeria. A multi-stage sampling technique was used in collecting the relevant data for this study. Logit regression method was used for data analysis. The results show that majority of the farmer were aware of climate change. Also, monitoring of weather is mostly used to cope while size of land cultivated and illness significantly increase vulnerability. It was recommended that efforts to assist the farmers in the local government area in weather forecasting will go a very long way in reducing the impact of climate change and also bring more of stakeholders' involvements.
