摘要
The current eCommerce marketplace is causing a paradigm shift that implies a fundamental new economic model for all businesses and governments around the world, For the Posts, the impact translates into a continued market share erosion of the traditional letter mail products while the market for consumer parcel deliveries is increasing exponentially. To address these changes in the market place, the Posts will not only have to think how they can pursue the trend and conduct more business electronically, but more importantly, they will have to rethink how their traditional core business of processing mail will be affected and how it will need to evolve. This paper discusses Accenture's point of view on the impacts of eCommerce on physical mail operations and the path of evolution that we see the Posts will need to take to retain their presence in the physical delivery of messages and goods around the world.
