Mercury speciation: A spectroscopic essay using an analytical X-ray fluorescence spectrometer

摘要
X-ray emission spectroscopy was used to assess mercury speciation through the peak intensity ratio L gamma(2,3,6,8)/L gamma(4) using mercury compounds (HgCl2, HgO, HgS) and the metal (HgO) as standards for different bonding states. Intensity measurements were performed with an analytical wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometer. An environmental application of the method illustrates its applicability.
