摘要
Grating based sensors attracts enormous consideration due to their potential applications in the area of communication systems and opto-electronics. So it is essential to develop a suitable theoretical model of a phase shifted fiber Bragg grating (PS-FBG) sensor for temperature measurement. This concept is based on theoretical modeling in the area of the PS-FBG sensor. Our aim is to model the PS-FBG and to illuminate the suitable parameters of PS-FBG such as phase shift variation, the length difference between sections and RI alteration by using the transfer matrix method. Bragg wavelength (BW) shift of PS-FBGs with respect to temperature is also examined. Sensitivity of PS-FBG sensor is same as the FBG sensitivity with a broader bandwidth so PS-FBG overcomes the broad bandwidth requirement in short grating length. In this scheme we use transmitted spectrum of the phase shifted FBG.
