摘要
This paper describes a novel approach to control design for permanent magnet synchronous machines (PMSM). The procedure utilizes large-signal nonlinear electro-mechanical models, and guarantees global exponential stability of the desired operating point in the closed loop. The sensing requirements are standard (speed and current), while the load torque is estimated. The main contribution of the paper is in the use of added transient component to the target torque that allows a direct assignment of the dissipation rates of the incremental energy in both electrical and mechanical subsystems. The resulting control performance of PMSM is very promising, as verified via numerical simulations and laboratory experiments.
