摘要：
As a general class of negatively curved homogeneous Riemannian manifolds, we define a category of k-step Carnot spaces, which includes the rank one symmetric spaces of noncompact type, Fundamental properties of k-step Carnot spaces and the Dirichlet problem at infinity for harmonic maps between these spaces are discussed.
