摘要
In order to improve the performance of epoxy asphalt concrete (EAC), EAC modified with glass fibre (FEAC) was designed. The properties of epoxy asphalt modified with glass fibre (FEA) under different fibre contents and types were studied by the viscosity test and direct tensile test, and the performance of FEAC with different fibre contents was evaluated through several laboratory experiments. The results showed that the glass fibre with appropriate type and content can increase the viscosity of FEA, can improve tensile strength and fracture elongation of FEA and can shorten the allowable construction time of FEAC. Moreover, the improvement effects of glass fibre on permeability, friction and high-temperature stability of FEAC is not significant, but use of glass fibre can significantly increase ravelling resistance and moisture susceptibility of FEAC. When the fibre content changes from 0% to 6%, the increasing amplitude of flexural strain at failure at 20 degrees C is 50.8%. It indicates that the addition of glass fibre can significantly improve crack resistance of FEAC at low temperatures. Furthermore, FEAC has good resistance to fatigue cracking when fibre content is around 6%.
