摘要
Precast concrete bridge decks have not been widely adopted for a number of reasons. One significant reason is that these systems require manual forming to complete the construction of the area between the girders and the deck or haunch after field adjustment. An adjustable forming system is presented that uses commonly available packing foams and adhesives. Several novel test methods were developed to investigate the performance of these systems from different precast concrete bridge deck construction processes. A recommendation is made for materials to be used, and a typical construction sequence is presented.
