HEGEL TODAY, ACCORDING TO ZIZEK

Slavoj Zizek, the Slovene philosopher whose writings, translated into many languages, are now read the world over, holds that his theoretical positions, particularly in politics, are based on Hegel thought. In this paper we examine this relation to Hegel, namely, what aspects of Hegel's system, methods and concepts play a role in Zizek's books, how they are understood and dealt with, which are their main roles in Zizek's own thought.
