摘要
Optimization of satisfying transport needs in road transport is one of the most complex functional issues that occur in transport. This is especially difficult for small carriers, belonging to the SME sector, as for optimization of their fleet use they are not able to use advanced and therefore expensive and usually difficult in operation data analysis tools. This brings a need to search a relatively simple method which doesn't require any specific tools and is easy to use even by not very computer-fluent staff. The northwest angle method was potentially identified as meeting these requirements. Potentially it could be an effective tool for production SMEs in competition with other enterprises.
