Motivational consequences of charismatic leadership: An empirical investigation

A survey of 561 middle and upper middle managers assessing their superiors shows that charismatic leadership consists of five dimensions, credibility, self-sacrifice, tenacity, vision, and challenge. II also showed that charismatic leaders elevate subordinates' self-esteem and self-worth, and create extreme loyalty and commitment to the leader and the organization.
