摘要
This paper is a study designed to understand how intrinsic rewards, as compared with extrinsic rewards are perceived as sources of motivation by employees of the Namibian public organizations/ministries. This article focuses on the work motivation construct applied to the public sector particularly the government ministries. We try to identify the combination of extrinsic and intrinsic factors explaining why public employees show varying levels of work motivation. The findings of this study shows intrinsic reward factors are the main drivers of work motivation in the Namibian public sector.
