摘要：
Burkeite is one of the major types of scale in the black-liquor system. An understanding of the nucleation mechanism of burkeite will help to solve the scaling problem. This work investigate the relationship between some additives especially calcium carbonate and burkeite nucleation in an attempt to provide fundamental knowledge for black-liquor evaporation.
