摘要
When the high power microwave (RPM) propagation in atmosphere can cause attenuation and atmospheric refraction due to air ionization or breakdown coming from RPM heating atmosphere. Both processes are nonlinear. In this work we analyzed the nonlinear attenuation and refractive index varies with altitude. Discussed the experimentally determines rate coefficients. And the transmission of high power microwave at air breakdown environment is investigated and analyzed by solves numerically Maxwell's equations and Boltzmann's equation self-consistently using finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method.
