摘要
This article aims to investigate the technologies and applications of biomethane in the generation of electricity and as vehicular fuel. To this end, a bibliographic search was conducted using the Methodi Ordinatio. Mendeley and JabRef were used for reference management. The market potential for the production of biomethane will depend on both the energy conditions and the capacity to create infrastructure and encourage industries via supporting initiatives. This article analyzes the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) of the technologies and applications of biomethane, addressing several factors, and their representativeness for the generation of electricity and use as vehicular fuel.
