摘要
In this paper we present results on miniaturization of a wideband stacked patch antenna. In particular, using numerical simulation we demonstrate that a thirteen percent in physical size reduction can be achieved in a wideband stacked patch antenna using synthetic reactive elements namely the split-rings resonators (SRRs) while maintaining a relatively large bandwidth of eighteen percent. The calculated gain and the radiation pattern of the miniaturized antenna were in accord with the results of traditional wideband double patch antennas.
