摘要
We discuss possibilities of parallelization of the Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) method for solving the Vehicle Routing Problems. Achieved results are compared from the point of view performance and the quality of solution. We show how the use of the pheromone information exchange within independent populations improves the solution quality. Moreover we will present the differences in the solution quality of the asynchronous variant in comparison to the synchronous variant.
