摘要
A battery energy storage system based on MMC (MMC-BESS) is discussed, the system has active and reactive comprehensive compensation capability. The MMC-BESS is applied in wind farm integration, which can smooth the power fluctuations and improve voltage of bus effectively. Bidirectional DC/DC link is used to parallel the batteries with DC side of submodule, the state of charge (SOC) balance control strategy and control strategy of MMC-BESS are proposed. The reactive power compensation capacity is expanded in application of wind power integration, a coordinated control strategy based on transient reactive power capacity is proposed when bus voltage is unusual. The feasibility of topology and proposed control strategy is validated by simulation results.
