摘要
The semantic search over existing disparate and heterogeneous data sources in an organization has become an active research area recently. With the advent of the semantic web technologies it is desirable for any organization to have a search engine by which he is able to search over existing data sources traditionally managed by legacy applications. In this paper we have proposed a method for ontology construction from existing relational databases in the organization. Moreover we have proposed the design of a general purpose semantic search engine for supporting the semantic search by the organization managers. A prototype implementation has also been presented to evaluate the proposed method.
