摘要
This paper provides comprehensive comparison including thermal and electromagnetic properties between axial-flux permanent magnet machines (AFPMs) and radial-flux permanent magnet machines (RFPMs). In addition, this paper focuses on influence of the aspect ratio on thermal characteristics of both machines because that have not been investigated in any research group. Finally, effectiveness of the proposed flat-AFPM having Nd-bonded PM for industrial applications is investigated and shown by 3D-FEA and experimental results.
