摘要
Peculiarities of plasma electrolytic oxidation of stainless steel (grade 12Kh16N10T) in an aqueous electrolyte-suspension with tantalic acid and the composition and structure of formed surface layers have been investigated. Under the effect of bipolar anodic-cathodic current, thin interference films are formed on steel within 10 min. The surface has a grained structure. Grains of characteristic sizes of similar to 10 mu m are separated by interfaces of a width of about 1 mu m. Tantalum in the form of Ta2O5 is present in the composition of objects of sizes less than 200 nm at the interfaces.
