Experimental analysis of the stiffness and toughness of steel fiber reinforced concrete beams

摘要
It is well known that the properties of concrete such as the tensile, bending, cracking, shear strength and the toughness of concrete can be greatly improved by adding a small amount of steel fibers. By test study, the relationship between the maximum deflection of steel fiber reinforced concrete (SFRC) beams and their steel fiber ratio are studied. The stiffness of the concrete beams is greatly increased because of adding a small amount of steel fibers. The experimental results and theoretical calculations based on the ''Design and Construction Codes on Steel Fiber Concrete''(DCCSFC) have been compared in this paper, which demonstrates that there is great difference between them. Therefore, the further analysis is given.
