A Research on the Influence of Corporate Financial Performance and Corporate Social Responsibility

In this paper, the author studies the listed banks in the Shanghai exchange and Shengzhen exchange during 2007-2011. Systematically, this article analyzes how the financial performances affect the social corporate responsibility performance of banks. The empirical results show that the financial performance influenced the corporate social responsibility performance in three aspects. Firstly, profitability ability has a significant positive effect on the corporate social responsibility performance level. Secondly, developing ability and anti-risk capability have significant negative impacts on CSR performance level. Thirdly, there is a certain inertial effect in CSR performance.
