摘要
Objective: To describe the results obtained with the use of pre-surgical orthopedics NAM, Dynacleft and nasal component in terms of aesthetics, feeding and gap between maxillary segments. Method: An analysis of the published literature was carried out using Pubmed and SCIELO databases, in addition to a manual search of books and scientific articles. The full articles were analyzed and after applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 25 studies were analyzed. Results: The literature indicates that NAM and Dynacleft improve aesthetics and reduce the gap between the maxillary segments, with respect to feeding, more evidence is needed. Conclusion: The results obtained with pre-surgical orthopedics are better if it begins in the first days of birth.Within aesthetics, lip and nasal symmetry, projection of the nose tip and post primary operation scar stand out.
